Kainacher

This afternoon, in cool temperatures and under a grey sky, I hiked to Königsfeld and visited two interesting caves near Loch. Just before reaching Königsfeld, I also hiked over the Hörnalastein.

Today I rode with a friend to Heiligenstadt and hiked back home from there.



First on the hike, I ticked off a previously unexplored area: the "Hoher Stein" castle ruins. There's hardly any view from there, and even then, only if the forest, like now, is still bare. But the ruins are surrounded by rocks

Today, for the first time after a few kilometers, I had to replan my hike in Mainstockheim. But first, a break at the "Chris-Tina" ferry across the Main River, which was out of service. My frustration quickly faded. I opened a Keesmann cheese sandwich and had a snack by the Main. That wasn't bad either

From Bayreuth to Regensburg

Under brilliant sunshine from dawn till dusk, but with a refreshing breeze at times on the hills, I started my first leg from Bayreuth Central Station towards Regensburg.
