After yesterday's party, just a local loop with Mirjam. No car today. I've been in it enough this week with my Roubaix adventure.

Hitland is, by the way, a great place to wear out hiking boots and to escape the heat (which wasn't too bad actually), we naturally went over the ice rink....

Also visited the

Parked the car at Kamp Amersfoort and first let the history sink in.

I don't judge, I don't condemn. Above all: I just don't understand it.

That there are people with bad ideas? I understand that. Was there really no one who dared to pull the handbrake?

Let it be clear that I'm not holding anything against

Both Trompenburg and Rif 010 are well-known in Rotterdam and worth visiting.

Trompenburg is a museum with flowers, plants, and trees. An oasis of tranquility in the eastern part of Rotterdam.

Rif010 is an artificial surfing facility. Both are therefore completely different attractions.

After Rif010, I walked

I myself no longer live in Rotterdam, but I feel like a Rotterdamer. You can leave Rotterdam, but the Rotterdamer doesn't leave you! Incidentally, I'm not the type of Rotterdamer who is anti-020. I am married to an Amsterdammer and that is the best choice I have ever made in my life.

Nice to move around a bit in between, but after dinner we went for another round in Nesselande. Got an ice cream there. Sorry: no photo!

It was over before we knew it.

Wonderfully diverse walk. Parked the car in the large car park at the Maarsseveense plassen. Along the beautiful mills and nice locks to the Vecht. Took a nice detour there. You then think you are walking through the gardens of some residents, but you are actually allowed to walk there.

Then to Slot Zuylen

As an afternoon walk with Mirjam and Ruud to the Mastbos near Breda. Also here still very wet in many places, but it did not rain during the walk.

At Restaurant Boswachter afterwards we sat and ate a bit, then it started to rain heavily. Got a bit lucky. That can happen once too ;-)

For a few years now, a number of rooftops have been made available in my city for a week (especially two weekends).

Although we only returned yesterday from our wonderful week in the Harz, our legs were already itching after breakfast.

It's actually a kind of Zwarte Pieten (don't mention the war, the British

From the title, you can already guess that it was another wonderfully diverse day.

We like to seek the mix between nature and culture.

Car parked at the Hexentanzplatz. First, a walk through the animal park. A bit of artificial nature, and I always have mixed feelings about that.

Especially because some

With almost 500 meters, it is the longest suspension footbridge in Germany.

Definitely spectacular and beautifully built. The view from the bridge is amazing.

On the west side, you look out at the impressive dam, while on the east side lies a second reservoir.

Almost everyone chooses to walk the bridge

This place was more or less the trigger to further investigate what the Harz has to offer.

Hundreds and hundreds of half-timbered houses. From well-maintained to heavily neglected. Both have their own beauty.

Anyone who goes hiking here does themselves a favor by including Münzenberg and the Brühlpark

This morning from our holiday accommodation a nice round trip over a nature trail and around the mountain lake that lies here.

Very beautiful nature. Less beautiful was the weather. We hadn't even been underway for 10 minutes and immediately a heavy thunderstorm and a lot of water came down. Everything
