After a longer break, I was finally back out riding with Hans in the beautiful Westerwald.
Our tour took us from Stockum-Püschen via Bad Marienberg to Marienstatt Abbey — definitely a highly recommended destination, just not on Sundays, as it gets extremely crowded 😢.

Today I took it easy and did a few trails around the Köppel: Eisbach-Trail (oh man, there’s no water left in the stream at all), Wurzel-Weg to the Landshuber ponds, trail at the Forsthaus Landshube, trail at the Köppelhütte, and finally Limespfad!

Today’s focus was a longer, relaxed ride through the forests to Bad Ems… with a few climbs thrown in as well. 🤘
... Everything went perfectly… and on the climb from the spring up to Sporkenburg, I had a special encounter with an incredibly curious and stubborn horse—simply wonderful. 🤘

Today Thorsten, René and I did our “winter loop”: from Höhr to Weitersburg, Vallendar, Urbar, up through the Mallendarer Bachtal to Neuhäusel, Eitelborn, and back via Hillscheid…
Lots of fallen trees and branches from the tornado last Wednesday, but overall a relaxed, stress-free evening ride. 💪
