See, the good is so close"... and one wonders. Right on our doorstep, we have this beautiful park 🌳🌸 in Wuppertal Elberfeld.
A great botanical garden with greenhouses and a current book market.....and poof, the backpack got heavier 😉.
In the middle is the Elisenturm with a café.

Up to Ollt Winteberg and a cozy round to look at the area, admire butterflies and pick blackberries. We were surprised how many ripe fruits were already hanging on the branches.
Cooked berry compote with sago at home, only vanilla ice cream 🍨 is missing.

After breakfast, we set off on one of our favorite routes and, thanks to Komoot, discovered a new trail that led us back to Dürholt via shady paths instead of through the blazing sun.

🌦️ Vom Schwelmer Friedhof über die Weuste 🦋
Über den Schwelmer Friedhof (der schon ausgezeichnet wurde 👍) hoch zum Ehrenberg und über die Weuste Richtung Tal der Brambecke.
Auch ohne Sonne eine tolle Runde.

🌥️ Vom Winterberg nach Königsfeld...

Der Wind hat uns ordentlich durchgepustet, der Schirm konnte im Rucksack bleiben. Eine ganz entspannte Runde mit lieben Menschen.

🥾Über 7 Brücken am Brückentag...
...immer über die Düssel.
Geparkt in Gruiten Dorf über Schöller und an der Düssel längs.
Tiergehege kann man machen oder auch nicht, das Gleiche gilt für den Hofladen. Der Weg dahin war alles andere als schön.
Die zweite Hälfte war toll. Wir werden an der Tour feilen und nochmal starten.…

🌳 Baumbestandskontrolle Richtung Rüggeberg 🪚...
..aufgrund der Borkenkäferplage wurde hier soviel abgeholzt, dass wir die Strecke lange Zeit gemieden haben 🫣.
Heute haben wir uns wieder getraut und gewundert, wie sich die Natur alles wieder zurück erobert hat 🌲🏵️.
Und deshalb auch heute wieder:

🥾 Über schattige Wege über die Weuste 🦋☀️
Trotz hochsommerlicher Temperaturen sind wir zu einer kurzen Freitagsrunde aufgebrochen, gestartet am Wildeborn.
Immer der Nase und den schattigen Wegen nach...und...ist uns ganz gut gelungen.

☀️ Tolle Runde um Herbringhausen..🫏
Bis auf eine ca 1 km lange Asphaltstrecke eine wunderschöne Runde in Herbringhausen mit Sicht auf die Talsperre.
Überwiegend schattige Wege, genau richtig bei der heutigen Temperatur.
Der Weg an den Fischteichen ist angenehm schattig, die Teiche scheinen aber keine Fische mehr zu beheimaten.
Entspannt und zufrieden wieder zu Hause…

...a great Sunday, which we first spent in drizzling rain in the halls of the railway museum, and from there we took another lap along the Ruhr through the Wichteltal (we didn't see any though... probably too small 😉).
Very nice paths and considerate cyclists. And therefore, today again: It was nice 👍
