Radtour zur BMX Freestyle Park Europameisterschaft 2026 im Bürgerpark Nord in Darmstadt. Ich hatte durch Zufall davon erfahren.

20260813 (Fast) entspannte Tour zum Terminal 4 🚴🚴♀️
Die Tour endete etwas abrupt am Zeppelinmuseum kurz nach der Einkehr im Terminal 4.
Irgendwie bemerkte ich ein schwammiges Fahrgefühl und ein anderes Laufgeräusch am Hinterrad. Ein Blick nach unten offenbarte einen schleichenden Plattfuss. Leider wollte meine mitgeführte Luftpumpe nicht mit dem Autoventil am Schlauch zusammenarbeiten.

Platter is always annoying. My mini pump from Decathlon has a reversible head, which serves Schrader on one side and Presta on the other. What delicious things are there at Terminal 4, worth going for? We always just roll past towards Terminal 3😉

20260812 Runde um Eppstein 🚴
Nachdem ich letzte Woche auf dem R8 durch Eppstein gefahren bin, entstand der Wunsch dort auch mal mit dem MTB eine Runde zu drehen. Heute war's soweit.
Fast wäre das Vorhaben aber schon am Parkplatz gescheitert, weil der Papa die Smartphonehülle für die SP-Connect Halterung zuhause vergessen hatte 🤬

Fahrt nach Heusenstamm und von dort mit Freunden auf eine Runde mit dem Ziel Waldcafé Hainbachtal. Auf dem Rückweg, auf gleicher (schattiger) Strecke, kurzer Abstecher zum Dornsee.

Last day on the R8. Short feeder from home to the long-distance cycle path in eastern Langen.

Second to last day. Today it went from Idstein via Eppstein towards the Rhein-Main area. I didn't want to miss the detour to the Kaisertempel.
From Zeilsheim then through familiar terrain, therefore only a few photos today.
In Höchst I took the ferry instead of crossing the bridge.

After a leisurely breakfast at the Meyenhof in Frankenberg and a short city tour, Day 1 started on the Hessian Cycle Route R8. The goal today was Wissenbach (~65 km).
