Cycling on the Assumption of Mary to Our Lady of Cyclists in Klein-Sinaai seemed like a good idea to me. There could be a lot of people there. When we got there, it turned out that there was... nobody.

If you cycle along the right bank of the Ghent-Bruges Canal, you can see an island at the intersection of the two canals from the 'Sluis van Schipdonk'.
We went to see if you can go on the island and yes. It is not very spectacular but we have been on an island this summer :)

Since I have been cycling through Flanders, I have developed an interest in architecture.
I wanted to see the brutalist chapel of Kerselare with my own eyes. It was an impressive experience.

A nostalgic trip to one of the places where we went swimming, fishing and playing in our youth. The recreation area has become a holiday park and much of it is now a nature reserve with beautiful cycle paths. We don't fish or swim anymore, but we cycle all the more 😊
