Nice little hike through a regional little highlight - the "Piller Moor".
At the same time our last Akon activity this year.
Afterwards we went to the Kaunertal Glacier.
Or what's left of it.
Only the Ortler in the distance still seemed completely snow-covered in the upper part.
The remaining glacier tongues

Today, as part of our annual "Akon-Geszndheitstage", we went to Hochzeiger.
Absolute highlight:
With the "Pitztal - Sommercard" included in the Pitztal, all mountain railways are free.
Also the toll roads and railways to at least 2 glaciers.
Value: 100 Euro/day/card.
Thus the first hotel we will book again

Lastly, we went across the southern Old Town, the Handwerkermarkt (Craftsmen's Market) and the Weissgerbergasse into the underground of Nuremberg -
One of the 3 most extensive cave systems in Europe.
Initially built to be able to store, cool and mature beer brewed in large quantities, it saved the lives

The path along the Pegnitz to the castle was "usually" entertaining -
But the hustle and bustle at Tiergärtnertorplatz was then the actual highlight.
Directly in front of a grandiose backdrop -
Including the Kaiserpfalz and the Albrecht Dürer House free concerts -
Where most visitors simply sat casually on the ground.

I wanted to go with Brigitte in the most "pre-alpine" way possible into the Congo...

Most of the planned route is unfortunately no longer passable
Probably a protected area.
We made the best of it -
And enjoyed this narrow strip of coast including small salt pans.
This is a realm full of unusual seabirds -
Only of flamingos again no trace.
Google Maps then directed us after entering "beach

So shortly before the drive home, we went to the well-known market of San Pantaleone.
The artisanal products were consistently of a high standard -
which also attracts the "rich and beautiful" from nearby Porto Cervo.
Thank God we had already bought clothes to our full satisfaction before the rain came

The ancient Sardinian people - The Nuraghi -
really draw you in,
when you engage with them.
Near Arzachena, an entire village with a cemetery - a "giant's tomb" - was created.
Including a wine press, ceramic kilns, and a workshop that processed bronze.
All of the above was found here -
And already produced from 1400 BC.

Bummer - The flamingos were probably flown out today 😥
I think it was even too hot for them 😀
Instead, the town (Porto Taverna) lived up to its name...
Or WOULD HAVE, if we had eaten.
Instead, there were cocktails.
Probably my best Margarita (CHILI - Margarita) and a probably also very successful Hugo Spritz

Is of course a deceptive package -
Everything done in a 40 HP inflatable boat.
But it is primarily intended as a memory -
And if videos could be uploaded on Komoot, the fun we had would be "more transparent" 😀
Unbelievable what such a 40 HP boat without a license can do.
Was a great experience ...

On an "Umzugstag" (moving day) to the East, we stopped by the "Rich and Beautiful" in Porto Cervo, among others.
What does the world cost?
Money plays no Rolex...
Is the motto here 😁
Always fascinating.
And now -
In the new domicile -
The yachts are stored within sight.

After experiencing a tour yesterday where we were almost entirely on our own, we repeated this experience today at Campo Testa ...
Lots of people, but beautiful.
The rocks are more eroded -
Giant dolmens, fantasy animals wherever you looked.
And a beach cocktail bar in a breathtaking location that makes

Even though only tiny remnants of this once proud glacier are visible:
The drive via the glacier road and the subsequent gondola ride are still a small experience.
And also quite expensive at 100 Euros/2 people -
In this case, however, included in the Pitztal Card.
