First we took the Isprins ferry across the Hollandsfjord. From the pier to the “Engabreen” tongue of the second largest Norwegian glacier, Svartisen, it's a relaxed 90 minutes. The panorama is breathtaking throughout. There are a few insurance policies on the mountain itself. Surefootedness and good footwear are essential. Our drive for the return trip is coming. Ahoy!

We have been to beautiful Denmark countless times. In Skagen and Grenen, where the Baltic and the North Sea meet, but never before. Neat thing going on up here. Tourists flock to the top in droves. On the way there we pass baby seals that were parked on the beach by their parents so that they can go hunting.

13:45 Partnach Gorge
14:30 Olympic ski jump Garmisch-PatenkirchenConclusion: The descent over the Reintal was ultimately the right decision. The night at the Knorrhütte was short, the legs still tired from the previous day. Then the leisurely hike through the scenic Reintal came just right.
Thanks to a cool couple that we got to know at the Knorrhütte and that accompanied us on the descent, the way back felt just half as long and twice as fun :-)

16:00 KnorrhütteConclusion: A climb during the week is worthwhile. It's worth getting up early. We met about 10 people on the ascent from the Eibsee via the stopselzieger to the summit. The KS was in poor condition due to winter damage. Thanks to dry weather, it can be done without any major risk. Then culture shock at the top ;-) Not to imagine what has to be going on here on a corona-free weekend.
