A wonderful tour for the whole family. Nature and a unique view, plenty of space to play, rest and relax. Franconian cuisine and good beer, serenity and nice conversations. From Bad Staffelstein it goes up on quiet paths. Once at the top, take a leisurely stroll across the plateau, enjoy the wonderful view, explore the rocks, sunbathe and have a drink in the Staffelbergklause beer garden. Comfortable downhill to Stublang and comfortably back to the start of the tour along the Lauter via Loffeld and Horsdorf. On the way, inns and breweries invite you to feast and entertain.

Hiking, experiencing nature and brewing tradition, enjoying Franconian cuisine and beer. The start and finish of the tour is at the train station. Through the city, past the market square and church, you go to Unterzettlitz. After crossing the Main, two breweries are waiting in Wiesen. Stop for a break and strengthen yourself for the ascent to the egg mountains. Arrived back down on the Main, make a detour to the brewery at the church of Nedensdorf. Then along the pilgrimage route from the Main to Unnersdorf and finally - past the bathing lake and the Bad Staffelstein thermal baths - back to the train station.

Start and finish is at the Banz monastery parking lot. First uphill, past the forest climbing garden, on the pilgrim path into the Banzer forest. From Rote Marter we follow the Carlspfad - a romantic, sometimes very narrow path through a wonderful mixed forest, cross the street and then reach the Steglitz on the Banzrundweg. Then it goes a long way downhill. Below Neubanz, the Maintalblick offers a fantastic view and an opportunity for a last rest before climbing back to the parking lot.

A relaxing hike on the Green Belt. Start and finish is at the town hall. On the Frankenweg along the Itz it’s first to Almerswind. After a look at the castle and a short rest at the largest basket vase in the world, the tour leads through the Green Belt from Thuringia to Bavaria and to Froschgrundsee. Put your feet in and look out over the water, marvel at the impressive ICE bridge over the lake, make a detour to the restaurant with a terrace. After refreshment, it's off through the quiet Effelder valley, to the heights of the Schaumberger Land - enjoy the view - and back to Schalkau.

A nice tour for the whole family, for young and old.Quite short, more of a walk than a hike, but full of peace, nature, views and little experiences. The start and finish is at the outdoor pool. Past the Schützenhaus, it goes slowly and evenly up to the Schaumburg. Explore the ruin, enjoy the panoramic view of Thuringia and Franconia and maybe strengthen yourself in the domain. The romantic Schaumburgweg leads past Gypsy oak and Ida-Platz - a perfect place to relax and play - back down to Schalkau.

An extensive hike all around Neuhaus. Start and finish is at the train station. On the way there are always nice places to linger and strengths as well as great views. Past the biotope and the panoramic view of Herrenberg, it goes to the bulge pond. Then the hike leads to the district of Schmalenbuche (view of the Lichtetal), to the Apelsberg and on the Rennsteig to Ernstthal. The route climbs steadily to Bornhügel, the highest point of the tour (846 m, weather station) and finally back to the train station.

This hike leads over the Rollkopf down to the Scheibe-Alsbach reservoir. The start and finish is at the Rennsteigbaude car park. At Weidmannsheil there is a wonderful view of the tour destination before it goes downhill to the Schwarza spring. A wonderful place for rest and refreshment. Past the former location of the Habichtsbach glassworks, the hike then leads to the reservoir, which serves as a drinking water reservoir for the people of the Rennsteig region. Bathing, camping, barbecuing etc. is therefore not allowed. Enjoy peace, nature and the view of the water before the way back leads up to the Rennsteig and back to the start of the tour.

This hike is the most enjoyable way to get from Rödental to Coburg. Start is at the train station. First comfortably along Röden and Itz, then you walk gently uphill on quiet forest paths to Veste Coburg, where historic walls, fantastic views and various exhibitions await. The hiking tour leads through the courtyard garden, past the natural history museum and across the castle square down into the city.
