Heute verabschieden wir uns von unserem Aufenthalt in Kärnten mit einem Ausflug nach Italien und nach Slowenien. Als Beigabe machen wir noch einen kleinen Abstecher zu den beiden Seen Lago di Fusine, die zu den schönsten naturjuwelen der julischen Alpen gehören. Die überquerung des Wurzenpass (wenn auch nur von der slowenischen Seite) braucht man 5 Tage Radfahren doch noch unsere letzten Reserven.

Trotz regnerischer Wetterlage machen wir bei warmen Temperaturen eine kleine Tour Richtung Klagenfurt. Ein wunderschöner Radweg entlang Drau fahren wir an der Stadtgrenze von Klagenfurt vorbei und komme nach einer schoenen Kaffeepause sogar trocken wieder nach Hause.

Schöne sonnige, aber sehr anspruchsvolle Tour durch das kärntnerland. Zuerst auf kleinen Wegen bis zu den erstaunlichen Dom Maria Saal... eines der ältesten Kirchen in Österreich. Danach kam für uns der Bußweg, ja der Kalvarienberg hoch zur Magdalens Höhe. 600 Höhenmeter mit extreme Steigungen bis 19%... dagegen ist der Pfänder Pipifax. Auf dem Weg nach oben besuchen wir noch eine tausendjährige Linde mit dem Gottesauge und werden oben mit einer traumhaften Aussicht belohnt. Auf dem Rückweg besuchen wir noch die imponierende Burg Hochosterwitz.
