Eine schöne Runde im NSG Siebengebirge. Los geht's im Ennert am Wanderparkplatz beim Dornheckensee. Die Strecke führt dann an den Aussichten vorbei, insbesondere die Rabenley zeigte sich heute von der guten Seite. Das Kloster Heisterbach dagegen ist zur Zeit nur eingeschränkt begehbar, leider ist die Chor Ruine wegen erforderlicher Sanierungsmaßnahmen durch einen Bauzaun abgesperrt. Natürlich ist die Anlage trotzdem schon wegen der Einkehrmöglichkeit immer einen Besuch wert. Von dort geht es weiter zur Hülle und damit einem weiteren schönen Fernblick ins Rheintal und auf die Weinberge oberhalb von Oberdollendorf. Danach gehts bergab Richtung Oberkassel und wieder hinauf zur Rabenley und zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Ein paar Höhenmeter hat die Strecke, die Fernblicke entschädigen dafür.

Eine kleine aber schöne Runde im Siebengebirge. Start und Zielpunkt ist die Jugendherberge in Bad Honnef. Von dort geht es zunächst hinauf zum Leyberg, der auf 359 Metern liegt. Die letzten 60 Meter des Aufstiegs führen über Felsstufen und Basaltblöcke, etwas Trittsicherheit ist hilfreich. Die Aussicht von dort auf das Rheintal und den Drachenfels ist absolut einmalig. Von dort geht's zum Himmerich, der mit seinen 367 Meter ähnlich hoch ist. Der Ausblick von der Abbruchkante aus ist toll. Etwas Vorsicht ist hier geboten. Wer nicht ganz nach oben will kann auch den Blick vom etwa 35 Meter tiefer gelegenen Aussichtsplateau unterhalb der Steilwand genießen. Laufe die Strecke immer mal wieder, gebe daher gerne eine Empfehlung dafür ab.
