Zuerst ging es zum historischen Sturmsignalmast. Er warnte früher die Seefahrer vor Sturm und Eis. 1879 wurde an dieser Stelle ein Holzmast errichtet, 1930 wurde der heutige Stahlmast aufgestellt.

This time, we headed to Wathlingen on Wednesday evening.
The spoil heap (“Kaliberg”) can be seen from far away. It consists of waste material from the potash mine, which was extracted from the Niedersachsen shaft until 1996.
North of Wathlingen, we were still able to enjoy the sunset.
All in all, it was a very beautiful tour.
