invites everyone to its annual mulled wine hike, and almost 30 hikers answer the call. We start in Fürstenberg (Havel) with well-filled thermoses – full of mulled wine, of course. Our destination is Himmelpfort, where we hope to meet Santa Claus.

We hike past the former Ravensbrück concentration

It was that time again: the annual Komooties meeting was upon us.

This time, we headed to the low mountain range—more specifically, to the Taunus Mountains, where the "Eppstein Project" was chosen as our base camp. From here, the cycling and hiking enthusiasts could indulge their outdoor passion and exchange

You'll rack up kilometers on former railway lines, the climbs are gentle, and you'll enjoy repeated views of the countryside. That's the plan for this first stage from Wuppertal to Heiligenhaus.

Your starting point is Mirker Bahnhof (train station) in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, directly on the Nordbahntrasse

Plenty of greenery in the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia, uninterrupted running pleasure along former railway lines, and a river as your faithful companion: these are the ingredients for this adventure. The WHEW 100 ultramarathon route leads through seven cities, where the Ruhr region meets the Bergisches

Off to the Ruhr! That's the motto of the second stage. But first, you'll start the day the way yesterday ended. From Heiligenhaus, you'll continue along the former railway line.

Near Essen-Kettwig, you'll finally meet the Ruhr. And from now on, the river will remain faithfully by your side for a few kilometers

The start of the third stage is off into the countryside. You leave Hattingen and immediately have meadows, pastures, and rolling hills in view. The Elfringhausen Switzerland reveals itself at its most beautiful. But as befits a region called Switzerland, you also have a few meters of elevation ahead

From the mountains of the Swiss Jura to spectacular rock formations and historic town centers: the canton of Neuchâtel (Neuchâtel in German) has many facets. And you can discover all of these on your mountain bike on the almost 200 kilometer long Neuchâtel Bike route. You can grab the entire route of

This is the entire cycle path from Münster to Bremen. On your way north you cycle along wide fields and moorland. You also come to Osnabrück and Diepholz. Divided into three stages - tour descriptions included - you can find the route here: komoot.de/collection/2231524

On this first stage you will find wide fields, various bodies of water and numerous farms. Because even if you start in a big city with Münster and end up in one with Osnabrück, nature and agricultural life take over in between. Apart from very short sections, you are constantly on asphalt.

From gorges to sandy beaches: there is a lot on offer on the final stage back to Neuchâtel. You leave Couvet and have an old friend at your side in the Areuse river. You can thoroughly enjoy the flat route along the bank, because you will soon gain altitude again. The route takes you over partly steep
