Der Schmugglerpfad leitet seinen Namen aus der Historie des von ihm durchquerten ehemaligen Grenzlandes ab. Doch nicht nur Historisches steht auf der erlebnisreichen Wanderagenda. Hinzu kommen herrliche Aussichten über schmucke Dörfer und sanfte Hügel bis zum fernen Horizont. Man kann immer wieder stumme Zeugen, Grenzssteine entdecken, die den ereignisreichen Weg säumen. Die meisten sind verwittert, gerissen und geschunden, aber an einigen erkennt man noch das »S« für Saargebiet und das »D« für Deutsches Reich. Es war eine schöne Wanderung, die wir heute gemacht haben. Die Sonne war herrlich und dringend nötig, denn es war eisig kalt. Seid ganz lieb gegrüsst, da ich nicht weiss, ob ich Morgen noch mal Zeit für eine kleine Tour habe, wünsche ich Euch allen schon mal einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr. Ich freu mich sehr auch in 2026 mit Euch in Kontakt zu sein, mich mit Euch auszutauschen und Eure Touren anzusehen.
