Went out around the Wirral to get a couple more BCQ points done. 1st up was a short ride down to the Port Sunlight war memorial (BCQ334) before taking the ride down through the countryside to Parkgate alongside the River Dee. Lovely little town where I checked off BCQ333.
Nice to get the legs moving as

Short spin on my lunch break today as I was working close to another BCQ checkpoint. Made my way from Giltbrook up to BCQ295 to check it off before heading back. Absolutely boiling though!

Working away this week so made the most out of it by taking the SH Alloy out for a spin around Nottingham.
Went down to Nottingham Castle first to cross off BCQ296 while I was in the area before heading through the city towards Notts County football club and over the river Trent where I went around the

Went out on the bike for the first time in a while as I was working away so decided to get another BCQ checkpoint chalked off.
Leaving the Old Mill hotel in Bath, I followed the river Avon for a short while before picking up the A4 and heading for Chippenham.
Ended up taking some country roads, lanes and

Decided to go on a quick ride on my lunch break as I was working down near Neyland and a good way of knocking off another BCQ checkpoint.
Starting off in Neyland Marina, I quickly checked off BCQ452 before heading north on the Brunel Trail (part of the Celtic Trail). Followed this old Great Western Railway

So this was the 5th year of our winter London ride as me and Damien went out to the usual sites while working away. Bit cold out there and a few cheeky beers along the way too! Also Managed to check off some Monopoly sites while out and about. While out, managed to get: - Marylebone Station - Park Lane - Bond Street - Oxford Street - Regent Street - Great Marlborough Street - Piccadilly - Leicester Square - Northumberland Avenue - Whitehall So that’s another 10 of the Monopoly squares completed to go with the 5 from last year. Also, green set complete!. Always great to get out on the bike and good company always helps. 🤞for the 6th ride next year! Half a decade of cycling in London now!

Working away again so took the bike out for a spin as I wanted to get another BCQ checkpoint ticked off so I headed out from Winscombe and picked up the Strawberry Line trail which is an old disused railway track bed that down towards Axbridge through the Shute Shelve Tunnel and made my way past the Cheddar reservoir and into Cheddar. It was here I had the bright idea to take the more “scenic” route through Cheddar Gorge as I made my way down to BCQ031 at Ebbor Gorge instead of the more level route! My god, what a climb from 50ft to 725ft in the space of 3.7 miles! I thought it would never end. I bet it’s beautiful in the daylight but as I chose to go out at night, I was surrounded by walls of black on that ascent! Got to the check point and gathered the answer to the question and made my way back the same way. It was an absolute cold ride and I could feel the cold all over afterwords! Definitely needed a warm drink or two to regulate the body temperature! Worth it though.

Out and about on the SJ Alloy with Chris for the 1st time. Took the bikes down to Mumbles Pier and back on what was a clear sky with the stars above us and a winter chill in the air!

Another night put on the SJ alloy as I went and checked out the Meon Valley Trail and surrounding areas. Starting down in Wickham, I picked up the old railway line heading north but soon after took a diversion (about 12 miles) and headed toward Hambledon as I went to BCQ064 to check that off the list
