Pleasantly quiet route, at least after crossing the Rhine via the airport bridge.
The initial comfortable route on paved cycle paths turned into quiet forest paths and finally mutated into a barely recognizable single trail overgrown with knee-high grass and nettle thickets.
It was beautiful though!

Großer Weserbogen
Der Weg in Flussnähe zeichnet sich, besonders im Frühling wie jetzt, durch eine große Artenvielfalt in der Vogelwelt aus. So waren etwa mehrere Nachtigallen zu hören, aber auch Mönchsgrasmücken, Zaunkönig, Singdrossel, Heckenbraunellen, sogar ein Kuckuck und andere.

The songs of the nightingale were of course the highlight.

A small challenge at 36° in the shade. But well worth the effort.
Some rare animal species live here due to the favorable conditions: the Rock Dove, i.e. the original species of Rock Dove from which all modern city pigeons descend. The photo likely shows such a Rock Dove.
We also saw some Crag Martins
