Brinore Tramroad

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The course of the old Brinoire Tramway runs from Talybont on Usk to limestone quarries near Tredegar. Completed in 1815, and designed for horse drawn trams, it's a great track for bikers and walkers through the forest.

This trail is constantly climbing towards The Gap, generally wide and hard packed in the dry with sections of rocks & stones.

There are many places to stop and enjoy the stunning views both in front and behind you.

Green Lane Descent from The Gap

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Still descending from the Gap, this sunken lane is a great little cherry on top of the descending cake - you think you've hit the road, but in reality there's more off-road to come!
