Neuruppin Lake Bathing Facility

Highlight • Beach

The Neuruppin seaside resort is one of the oldest in Germany. There is a sandy beach, jetties, a diving tower and restaurants. In addition, you are on the safe side here, because the water is officially checked for quality. If you come in the evening, the entrance fee of two euros is a real snapper.

You can find all information about the bathroom here: seebadeanstalt-neuruppin.de.

From 1978 he worked as a graphic designer at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam. He has been a freelancer since 1987. In 1992 he moved from his studio in Berlin-Wedding to Neuruppin-Karwe, where the artist's workshop and gallery are now located in the Alte Schäferei. Since 2009 he has had a new studio in Lichtenberg.

In 1984 he won first prize in the artist competition "Overcoming the Wall by Painting the Wall".

Great photo opportunity at the lake!

Impressive, Gothic, red-brick church dating from 1246; a pair of new-gothic towers was added 1905-06. Unusually, the nave and aisles run from southwest to northeast, not west-east. The interior is plain brick, with a white, vaulted ceiling.
The enormous oak standing near the northeast corner is also worth a minute.
The “Wichmannlinde” stands nearby in a roundel overlooking the water.

Schinkel Monument, Neuruppin

Highlight • Monument

On the church square right behind the parish church of St. Marien is the monument to the master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel.
It honors the city's famous son, who was born in Neuruppin on March 3, 1781. The childhood home of the future royal architect and town planner once stood on this site
