This was a four day trip, starting in Hassocks and ending in Rye (both of which have train stations) and stopping the night at Tenterden, Herne Bay and Dover. The days were roughly between 40 and 55 miles long and went from extremely hilly (in the Weald) to largely flat (through the Romney Marsh and much of the coast).
It's a highly varied and enjoyable route, taking in rough downs and commons, orchards and arable land and a lot of marsh land. Most of it is on National Cycling Network roads and paths, though there are some hairy moments and it is not for the faint hearted.
