Die Burg Hunedoara (Castelul Corvinilor), oft auch als Corvinus-Burg bekannt, ist eine der imposantesten und am besten erhaltenen gotisch-Renaissance-Burgen Osteuropas. Im 15. Jahrhundert von der mächtigen Adelsfamilie Hunyadi erbaut, beeindruckt sie mit ihren trutzigen Wehrtürmen, den markanten roten Dächern und einer dramatischen Steinbrücke, die über einen tiefen Flussgraben führt. Die mächtige Festung atmet an jeder Ecke Geschichte und diente dank ihrer fast schon filmisch-düsteren Kulisse bereits mehrfach als Schauplatz für internationale Filmproduktionen.
