A 4.5 mile walk along Kirkcaldy’s beaches and a promenade when lower than normal tide levels are expected.
This route starts from the free car parking area opposite Volunteers Green….

To walk the whole 3mls to where the route leaves the beach, start the walk one hour before low tide.
Wear waterproof footwear to navigate where the Tiel Burn enters the sea and the narrow passage through the remains of the former Seafield harbour wall.
It is also wet and rough ground underfoot where the route leaves the beach to join the Fife Coastal Path by the former Seafield Docks wall.
