Part 2 of our foray to the Isle of Wight to bag the 6 BCQs there. This was a drive & ride starting at Godchild Council Carpark (free) and took us through some beautiful trails to Havenstreet and the railway museum there, then on to Bembridge and Culver Down. The return brought us along the Sandown - Shanklin seafront and all was going swimmingly well until we hit the climb out of Shanklin! It was mental - long and steep all the way. We thought we were at the top when we turned off onto a 'Service Road' which was an even more mental climb that had us bushwhacking through an overgrown bramble path that was painful and draining! Great day out :-)
