One of our favourites yet of these British Cycle Quest (BCQ) rides! Free car parking at the Henley Hawks Rugby club (normally £4 a day but free today). Great ride out to the Maharjahs Well (BCQ146) at Stoke Row, them some amazing Ox & Berks countryside with a mad climb out of Streatly to reach BCQ131. Then beautiful trails and quiet roads down to the quaint little village of Aldermaston and BCQ136. The finale was a stunning ride along the Kent and Avon canal into Reading, which has quite a rich and beautiful city centre and then quiet lanes and forest trails back to Henley.

Great ride around the Yorkshire Wolds to pick off this isolated BCQ at Sledmere House. The Waggoners Memorial was great and don't forget to visit the Waggoners Museum beside the coffee shop at the house.

This completed our last two BCQs for Northants and opened the book on our first Oxfordshire BCQ. Great ride starting from the Stoke Bruerne church carpark (bargain @£2 for the day), through Towcester to Culworth and the spectacular and very unique clock there. Then on to Soudern and back to the start via Silverstone, which for some reason our GPS directed us towards the race track, mistaking it for a public road.

Starting in the Seaview Carpark in West Mersea this was a decent ride to Maldon and then up through Colchester to Wivenhoe to pick off BCQ 181 at Maldon and 186 at Wivenhoe. Road to Maldon was narrow and busy - would look to reroute if doing again.

This trip was initially planned as a ride around the Bassin D'Arcachon, heading from Ares to Cap Ferret and the ferry across the mouth of the basin. Unfortunately it was a sunny Saturday and the ferry had a 2 hour wait. Also for our ebikes, they wanted us to take out the batteries and also unload all our panniers, so we decided to skip it and just head back to Ares on the beautiful cycle routes that got us here.
