Hike through the stunning Partnachklamm, a mystical gorge in the Wetterstein Mountains.
The route through the gorge follows a narrow path, taking you through dark tunnels and past beautiful viewpoints overlooking the Partnach River.
It is dark and wet inside the gorge, so keep your phone's flashlight handy. A water-repellent jacket will also come in useful during your visit.
This route starts at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski jump, where you can park your car. From there, it is about a 25-minute walk along a wide road to the entrance of the Partnachklamm.
You can return the same way- easiest way back. We decided to cross the river and go around. Very scenic route, but with quite hilly- so get ready for a climb, and do it only if you’re wearing good shoes. Especially descending part of this path can be slippery.
After completing the hike we continued to Garmisch Partenkirchen old center for some sightseeing.
