Back in 2021, something amazing came to light - Rupert Holmes, the man behind the iconic hit “Escape (The Piña Colada Song)”, was actually born in Northwich in 1947.
When the news broke, locals and fans alike loved the idea of celebrating this quirky connection, and just like that, the Piña Colada Festival was created by the businesses in Northwich town centre - blending sunshine, music, and a big splash of Northwich pride.
Since then, the festival has grown into a full-blown summer spectacular event.
