I have taken all the big bags off my bike, got a cardboard box and a suitcase. So I am ready to pack all my stuff and fly home. Actually not quite ready! Everybody told me: "you have to visit Rottnest Island, just off the coast from Perth." Today was Rottnest day. Rottnest Island is car free. It has only bikes and hop on hop off busses and bicycles. Most famous however is the Quokka, a mini- kangaroo which doesnt jump and has a rat tail.
It was a pleasant 30 km ride around the island. The sea around the island has plenty of marine wildlife and has long beautiful beaches that animate to go swimming. (pix).
