A towering Victorian viaduct and thirteenth-century castle ruins, herons in the riverside meadows, and seals in the harbour; there's plenty to look out for along this varied route. It could easily be divided into two shorter walks; a stroll around the town walls and cliffs of Berwick or a more rural ramble out of town along one bank of the Tweed and back along the other.
