Countdown: 14.944 km so far, 350 km to go

Before I come to my todays report I have to mention that my left sock has a hole. One more reason to go home now😉.

The morning started with getting the bike down the steep stairs. After that was accomplished I rode to one of the best cafes in town (according to Google). This was obviously the place whee the biking population of Geraldton meets in the morning. Lots of fancy expensive bikes.

Then I decided to replace all the camera things that broke during this trip. I went to three camera shops through town to learn that a new wand and a new lense cover would possibly only be avaliable in Perth. After I had waisted all this time I finally started my journey towards Perth.

On the way I decided to have another coffee. Of course I had to answer a lot of questions which led into an interesting talk. Needless to say that time was slipping away.

After riding on I finally made some km. Suddenly I recognized that my rear tire was loosing air 😬. There were a few cuts in the tire. I was thinking about how to fix it. The options were installing an inner tube or putting the new spare tire on. I decided for the spare tire.

In the meantime it was getting late and I booked the hotel through Booking.com (I have done that pretty often during this trip). The price was unbelievably expensive. Anyway I had to have a room for tonight. When I arrived at the hotel I recognized that Booking.com had put a 100% on top of the hotel price.

All in all I can say: THIS WAS NOT MY DAY!
