Easy to follow footpaths, nothing difficult but quite a tough ascent, relentlessly uphill. Take plenty of water and a good lunch, last releiable water is in Capraia, there is a row of cottages and behind the last one is a good spring. There is another on the route up about half way but it dries up in summer. You can get a good coffee and a snack in the restaurant in Sillico, opens early even on a Sunday.
