I started the tour at Neunerköpfle around 9:15 a.m. under bright, sunny skies. The view today was particularly breathtaking around the grassy slopes of the Schochenspitze, thanks to the clear weather: After a short but demanding climb, a spectacular mountain panorama opens up, revealing the Lachenspitze and the surrounding peaks.
Down in the valley lay my intermediate goal, situated right above the first of three mountain lakes (the Lache): the Landsberger Hütte.
After a quick bite to eat and a refreshing cold drink, I headed towards the Traualpsee. From then on, it was downhill all the way—and quite challenging in places, as the rocks were smooth and slippery. You really had to watch your step. Once at the foot of the mountains, the path wound past the Vilsalpsee back towards Tannheim, where I arrived around 2:30 p.m.
It was an unforgettable hike and definitely highly recommended!
(Unfortunately, I forgot to stop the tracking on my Garmin watch, so the end point of the tour is somewhere on the main road on the way back.)
