Die Tour beginnt an einem Parkplatz nach dem Ortsausgang Oberrodenbach. Eine Runde die den Waldlehrpfad enthält ist allerdings nur knapp 5 km lang.

Sie beginnt auch sofort mit einer ca. 800 m langen knackigen Steigung, "Moby Dick" genannt. Danach geht's im Grunde nur noch bergab. Hier und da minimale Anstiege.

Sehr Waldig und zum größten Teil schattig.
