Turin-Nizza Bikepacking Day#07: Limone Piemonte – La Brigue

Straight into the climb Col du Tende (1871m), had to do only the final 6km as I stayed in Hotel outside Limone Piemonte. Very nice climb, would love to do it with a light racing bike and no luggage;)
At the sommet, the Via del Sale starts: an 40km gravel ride along the former defence line between France and Italy. Challenging ups and downs and only a refugio after 20km to get some desperately needed food and water. Stunning landscape but also a number of 4-wheel cars and cross country motorcycles. (I guess it’s Sunday today;))
After the final Col Tarannel a very challenging 20km downhill, killing nearly 2000m altitude and finally arriving on tarmac in the village La Brigue.
Definitely a very cool ride, but maybe more enjoyable with a fully MYB;)
