Summer special with Chiswick Cycling Club. Highlights were chocolate box village of Betchworth, Surrey and Warninglid, West Sussex which ought to get a village in bloom medal. Coffee stop in Tan House Farm near Newdigate is recommended. The section between Faygate and Slaugham goes along the top of a ridge through woodland and is fun cycling. And finally over the South Downs via Devils Dyke with superb views. Not the classic Ditchling Beacon route, but easier on the legs as less steep.
