Die Route führte uns über Goldenstedt in den Naturpark Wildeshauser Geest. Erste Pause am "Goldregen", der die Hunte bei Goldenstedt überspannt.
Bei hochsommerlichen Temperaturen ging's weiter nach Twistringen ins Strohmuseum. Bei einer Führung erfuhren wir einiges über die Bedeutung des Strohs in vergangenen Zeiten. Wir bestaunten den größten Strohhut der Welt und konnten die Herstellung eines Strohutes live erleben.
Über Sulingen erreichten wir unser Hotel, Baumanns Hof, in der Kirchdorfer Heide. Dort wurden wir mit einem Kaltgetränk begrüßt und die Fahrräder haben wir sicher in Pferdeboxen untergebracht.
