Die entspannte Tour startet am Parkplatz Jägerstraßl .Den Eisvogel-Weg in Mauth folgten wir den Steinbach flussaufwärts bis zur Steinbachklause, einem historischen Triftbauwerk. Danach geht’s bergauf zum Großen Kanzel. Wer trittsicher ist, kann den kurzen Steig zum Gipfelkreuz erklimmen und wird mit einem grandiosen Blick über den Bayerischen Wald und bei Föhn sogar bis zu den Alpen belohnt. Zurück führte uns der Weg über das „Taferl“ und die Steinerne Stiege durch abwechslungsreiche Mischwälder
