A hike starting and finishing at the Camping & Caravan Club site at the Star. Walk through the woods, along farm tracks and country lanes. At this time of year (July) there is lots of "foliage" and the paths were overgrown in places, and a couple of stiles were inaccessible so a careful climb & jump off the dry stone walls was required.
Oakamoor village is at the bottom of Carr Bank and Star bank meaning a stiff walk back up to the top, but worth it for the weir and Limekilns in the village.
