The third stage dives into a deeply authentic corner of Friuli. The climb to Sella Marcelie opens the doors to the Altopiano del Vinaio, a high, pastoral plateau where time slows down. The road then rises again over Passo Chiampon (790 m), modest in altitude but rich in atmosphere, before dropping into the secluded valley of Paradis di Sotto. Forcella di Monte Rest (1,076 m) offers a classic alpine crossing leading toward the final hidden jewel: Forcella di Priuso (1,430 m) a beautiful, flowing climb and beautiful technical descent through forests and open meadows.
The day ends at Ampezzo, a mesmerizing village in the heart of Carnia, where historic alpine resilience meets the quiet anticipation of the high-altitude finale.
