Great starting point to walk up to the summit of the Lagazuoi. Parking can be difficult at peak season.
Starting at the base taking the path up and not the ski run is far easier, again crossing the ski run and walking up the trail opens up great views of the other valley and trails. It is narrow in places as you make your way to the base of the last ascent but easy enough to walk. Up the final ascent to the top there are opportunities to enter some of the WW1 emplacements, which overlook the route just climbed - not all have edges so be careful and watch your head as the tunnels are low. Easy walk from the cable car landing to the simmit with a maintained path with optional use of the gallery walkway around the edge rather than over. Great views from the top which ever direction!
Doubling back with a drink and bite to eat on the way, turning to walking across the open valley the path narrows to single track and eventually into a chute with a zigzag decent decent enough to walk. The final stretch once down winds back up with a little road section before the last segment, past the fort and back to start.
