Einsam über den Eselstieg zum Ilsestein. Junge Birken bilden ein Spalier. Vom Ilsestein nahezu eben hinüber zum Abzweig Plessenburg. Ab hier unvermeidlich weiter auf Forststraße, der Sonne ausgesezt, bis zum höchsten Punkt. Schatten gibt es erst wieder ab Beginn des Laubwaldes ab ca. 450 mH. Ab dem Kutschweg hinübergleiten zum Kloster Ilsenburg.

Tolle Aussichten in den Harz und auf den Brocken.
Einkehr möglich am Kiosk Ilsenstein und Plessenburg.
