Free parking at start of Route for around eight cars. Route starts on single track road down to the coastal path. Last few miles are single track road or pavement. Generally the route is pretty flat, with some gradual climbs, but nothing major. Great views when along the coastal path. I did take a wrong turn by the caravan park, but not far.
