Free parking at starting point just outside the village. Steady climb at start leads to views towards Puffin Island and Llandudno, before setting off towards the Eryri mountain range. Stunning panoramic views along the route. Can be busy at peak times.

Elidir Fawr loop 2 (Deiniolen)
Limited free parking at starting point. Path follows tarmac access road to a mountain path. Panoramic views throughout the route. Beautiful area.

Moel Famau loop 1 (Cilcain)
Limited free parking at starting point. Route follows mountain path and farm tracks. Don't take the same wrong turn that I did just after the start. Some good views along the way. Panoramic views from summit of Moel Famau, including the Jubilee Tower.

Cadar Idris loop 1 (Dol Idris - Minffordd)
Parking available at Dol Idris. £4 for 4 hours or £8 all day. Route is well established and follows a mountain path. The path is steep in sections when ascending and descending. Great panoramic views throughout the route. Route can be during peak times.

Llyn Geirionydd & Llyn Crafnant loop (Llanrhychwyn)
Ample free parking at starting point, can be busy at peak times though. Route follows forestry road, gravel and mountain paths around Llyn Crafnant and Llyn Geirionydd. Great scenic views along the route.

Swallow Falls loop 1 (Betws-Y-Coed)
Ample free parking at starting point in Gwydir Forest. Set off the the forest track passing the Ugly House Terrain is more technical after this point following the Afon Llugwy to Swallow Falls. Cross the Llugwy footbridge and head to the fallen penny tree. Last section is along the A5…

Ample parking at the rear of Joe Browns. I took a few wrong turns looking for alternative routes, but if you follow the main path you'll be fine. Route follows a mix of grass and gravel paths with a few rocky areas and technical ascents and descents. Plenty of views…

Llyn Trawsfynydd loop 1 (28°C 🥵)
Ample free parking at start. Route folows single track roads and shingle cycle route around Llyn Trawsfynydd. Some good views along the route, with a foot cooling option at the end in the lake.

Ample free parking at starting point. First 1.5 miles follows a tarmac path before turning off to mountain trails. Stunning views along the route from start to finish. Good level of fitness required due to length and number of ascents and descents.

Penmaen-Bach loop 1 (Capulelo) 27°C 🥵
Free parking for around ten cars at the start of the route. Route follows natural walking paths, a mix of stone, shingle like and grass. Great views oner Penmaenmawr and Llandudno. I did take a few wrong turns during the route which shortened it.
