Transition ride to Romita after arriving by train in Empoli. First half of the ride was on a big provincial road, quite busy and dull, specially compared with the routes of the last few days.
The route passed by an old Etruscan burial site from the 7th century BC - the tomb of the Etruscan Archer. So called because of and engraving depicting an archer found at the entrance of the tomb.
The site itself is not very well maintained, and can be found in the middle of some olive orchard. At least its a nice walk between the olive trees to get there.
