Accompanying a friend, Adele Pennington. She had started at Ardnamurchan lighthouse and also climbed all of the nine Scottish 4,000ft mountains on the way, raising funds for the Martin Moran Foundation. I joined for the last two days, following the Speyside Way for a short section, then on to whisky trails and finally old railway lines, maintained by Aberdeen councils. A short section on the NCN1 as well.
A lot of paved surfaces through really quiet and beautiful countryside. Never very demanding and the E-gravel battery, easily did in excess of sixty miles, loaded. We camped on one night, using an electric hook up on a caravan site, near Dufftown.
Peterhead (Keith Inch) is the farthest point east on the Scottish mainland, and far less pretty than the most westerly extremity of Ardnamurchan!
