Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM v2
HWY-1 south of Big Sur had been closed due to the landslide, which was just recently reopened. While it was closed, many bike tourists took a detour to the Central Valley and back to the coast on Nacimiento-Fergusson road. I read a few good reviews about the detour, so I decided to take it.
The Carmel Valley road led me to the Central Valley. It was long but pretty. I stopped at Garland Ranch Regional Park, lubed the chain, and chatted with an old man who also enjoyed the beautiful spring scenery there.
Greenfield is a small town, but all the people I met were super friendly. Even cars are so nice to cyclists! I think most residents here are Hispanic and, of course, they had an amazing Mexican food.
