The hike to the Moiry Hut in Switzerland is a stunning alpine route that starts near the turquoise waters of the Moiry Glacier reservoir in the Val d’Anniviers. From the parking area at the end of the lake, the trail climbs steadily along rocky paths and grassy slopes, with the glacier’s icy tongue and surrounding peaks coming into view. The hike is moderately challenging, gaining around 500 meters in elevation over roughly 2.5–3 kilometers, and offers jaw-dropping views the entire way. At the Moiry Hut, perched at 2,825 meters, you’re rewarded with a close-up panorama of the glacier, hearty Swiss hut food, and a perfect spot to soak in the high-alpine atmosphere.
