This second stage further continued northeast, eventually ending on the Northsea coast near Husum.
It uses two ferries: one caross the Elbe surrounded by big cargo ships, and onther one across the Nord-Ostkanal (free!). In Hemmoor we found a Lidl with a surprisingly good selection of foods. A great place to stock up!
We spent the night at a campsite; https://www.nordseecamping.de/. A little overpriced, but it does offer a good kitchen & plenty of clean bathrooms.
