And back to Penzance. Went round the north side of Bodmin Moor, via Davidstow airfield and Camelford, rather than Horsebridge/Rilla Mill/Minions as I did the other year. Then turned southwest at Redruth, through Praze an Beeble and Goldsithney, rather than carrying on through Camborne to Hayle. All good route variants, and generally quiet on the roads except the short bit of A395 from Kennards House Jn to Pipers Pool. Road surfaces not too bad apart from the section just after that - through Trewen - which seemed very worn, probably partly water running down the hill. Forgot and left sunglasses behind at Lanhydrock after lunch - remembered a little way up the road and went back, and fortunately they were still on the picnic table.
