After I "stole" this tour several times from @Marina ☀️ and @Yvonn❤ (thank you for the pre-hike 😉) today after work I continued to the starting point at Gut Roggenthal and finally put on my hiking boots to do the round to run 😄. What can I say, a really wonderful hike through forest and meadows with wonderful views and great paths, but also some pretty decent climbs and descents🥵😄. But the hit was undoubtedly the goats, which after a moment's hesitation trotted faithfully after me 😂😂😂. Felt like the goat Peter 🤣🤣. They were really great.
On my last hike to Klus Eddessen, I noticed the quality hiking trail with the funny name, and so I chose it for today's tour. I started at a small parking lot in Dalhausen (corner of Ober. Hauptstraße and Ringstraße) and from there walked the first kilometer up to the Mariengrotte (Mariengrotte) on a familiar path. There, the trail branches off, and along the Krähenberg, you have wonderful views over Dalhausen and the Bever Valley. After the descent into Tiefental and the subsequent ascent, I finally had my encounter with the herd of goats. The ascent continued over Hühnerberg until just before Jakobsberg, which I skipped due to the heat. The scenic Stations of the Cross on Kiepenberg are a wonderful hike along an easy grassy path. After descending again into the Bever Valley, I crossed the Bever River and arrived in Roggental, which is mostly a holiday home development and a nursing home. After Roggental, the trail climbed again through a beautiful beech forest, and after a final steep climb across the goat and sheep pastures of the limestone grassland area, I returned to Dalhausen. Although Komoot, annoyingly, didn't record any photos for the first 4 km, it was a beautiful and varied tour that was easy to walk even in the heat.
A beautiful tour with a perfect view. 🥾🪻🐮🐐
The urge to move drove us outside in the drizzle in the morning. Suri and I had to work through an electric fence trauma during this round. You have to go through some gates, the last time the Suri dog hit the fence with his tail. That was not good. Went without any problems today, but it took a liverwurst bribe to get her through the hinged gates, which were far too narrow for a retriever. The weather was a bit damp in the morning, but with the constant climbs of this loop you warm up quickly. 🐐 are all in the stable, a few 🐑🐑 are still defying wind & weather. The round where the goat becomes a gardener is always nice, the weather doesn't really matter 😍
Super nice tour with many views, benches to rest, direct paths over the goat pastures and detour into the forest. The climbs are sometimes quite neat and in muddy weather quite slippery, but easy to do with good shoes and some coordination skills.
On this wonderful Sunday I picked out a tour that had been on my list for a long time. “Where the goat becomes a gardener” I started at the church in Dalhausen to climb the first mountain. Once at the top, narrow paths lead me along pastures with great views. The sun can be fully enjoyed up here. Then it goes straight back down through a pasture where the namesakes of this tour graze. From the bottom back up past dry stone walls into the beech forest. Here, however, the paths are wide and very damaged by forestry work. Very unfortunate. Finally, after a bit of up and down, you come back to the narrow paths of the goat pastures and back to the starting point. A very varied round and certainly even more beautiful when the trees are in bloom. Almost 13 km at 420 HM will definitely let me sleep well today.
At this point, a big thank you to Yvonn for the inspiration. I just followed your tracks. It was great. 😃😍😃🤩😃
This route always works. The climbs are demanding, but the paths are good, varied and well signposted. The prospects reward the efforts for the climb. There are also enough benches along the route and we also found the title heroes. - When the goat becomes a gardener.
