Today I went to Calauer Switzerland with my girlfriend 🌞❤️ Fantastically beautiful autumn weather 🍂🍃🌿 Great area. First we went from our hiking car park to the Luckaitztal brick tower. Really brilliant. Reopened in 2020. Then we kept going. To the Buchwäldchen-Muckwar pond landscape and back to the hiking car park. Unfortunately it gets dark very quickly now. A very nice afternoon, great nature and surroundings ❣️ Thank you for the lovely hiking trip 💕🌞💕
The Calau Switzerland? I didn't know about it until today. I'm setting off with a friend. We're taking the train to Lukaitztal. Once we arrived, I thought to myself... who would voluntarily get off here 🤷♀️ Well, we did 😉 Let me tell you right away, it was a great Easter walk 🐇☀️ From the station, we first go through the pond landscape of Buchwäldchen-Mukwar. There are nine ponds of different sizes with equally different names. They have been used for fish farming for hundreds of years. It's a magnificent landscape, the wind rustles through the reeds, the paths are sometimes narrow, sometimes wider. We skirt the village of Mukwar and walk along a beautiful meadow that practically invites you to rest. We lie down, enjoy the warm wind. We talk about this and that, but we want to move on. It's quiet in Buchwäldchen, only the birds are chirping. Some residents offer small delicacies. We indulge, each getting a jar of buckwheat honey 😋 Then we take a short asphalt path to a bench, sit down again to try the delicious honey. And again and again on great forest paths, the Heedekornweg, and we sense the hilly, mountainous character.😊 Our next destination is the Lukaitz Tower. There are over 216 steps to the platform, 38 meters high, with a total height of 45 meters. What's special is that it's built from 93,850 bricks and opened in 2020. The view today was magnificent 👀 We wind our way through the forest to Weißag and arrive in Zwietow. Here in the "In den Bergen" inn, we settle down to enjoy the regional delicacy, buckwheat pancakes with cocoa. Very tasty 😋 🤤 The very nice landlady has a lot to tell about the land, the people, and the region. We sit here for a long time, in no hurry. It's not far to the train station either, we comfortably catch our train.
Unfortunately, the first 2.5 km to the brick tower are missing .... but for the whole tour: always follow the yellow dot (Hedekornweg)
