Perhaps the most beautiful hike on the Feldberger Lakes! First along the Schmalen Luzin and later through the Hullerbusch to the Hauptmannsberg with its large old oak trees, you are constantly following in the footsteps of Hans Fallada and his “cheeky badger Fridolin”. Be sure to pack your bathing suits and plan enough time for the Hans Fallada Museum at the end! More information and lots of pictures about the tour can be found here: https://wanderfolk.de/2020/10/06/feldberger-seen-fridolinweg/
A truly wonderful, diverse, nature-based hike. If you're in the area, don't miss it!
A hiking trail that rightly bears the title "quality hiking trail". It is wonderfully varied and leads through a lot of wonderful nature. In part, it leads along a nature trail, on which you can learn a lot about the history of its origins and the animals and plants that occur there on numerous information boards. A highlight on the circular route is definitely the crossings with the Luzin ferry. Attention: check the operating times here beforehand.
Very nice circular hike from Feldberg (not the one in the Black Forest). It starts with the Luziner ferry (3€/adult). Then through the forest and then always along the lake (shore). First Zansen and Crawitzer See and finally the narrow Luzin. Extremely beautiful - unfortunately we had some bad luck with the weather at the beginning, but in the end we stayed dry.
The Schmale Luzin is a rivulet lake, narrow and with 40m high steep banks it looks more like a deeply dug river. It was created around 25,000 years ago through the excavation of Ice Age glaciers and is located with the Zanser and Carwitzersee in the terminal moraine area in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft nature park about 25 km east of Neustrelitz. We start with the Luzin ferry from Feldberg over the Luzin, on the eastern shore of the lake the Fridolin hike first leads uphill, we cross the entire width of the Hullerbusch and then walk on a nature trail through the Kesselmoor. We continue over the 120m high Hauptmannsberg, from up here between ancient trees, meadows and gorse bushes there are wonderful views of another lake, the Zansen. In Carwitz we take a detour to the Bohnenwerder peninsula to enjoy the delightful views of Lake Carwitz. On the west bank of the Luzin, the very natural path then leads directly along the water at the foot of the steep slope to the Karrengrund and on back to the ferry pier. This hike has a very special magic that fully captured us, fantastically beautiful!
Hike near Feldberg (Feldberger Seenlandschaft). A varied hike from Carwitz along the Schmalen Luzin to the ferry. After the ferry it goes up to the Hotel Hullerbusch and on to the Kesselmoor (viewing platform). The way back runs above the Carwitzer See with several lookout points. On the outskirts of Carwitz, the swimming area invites you to cool off.
a wonderful tour in the nature park... If you are looking for peace, you will find it here. definitely use the ferry 🙂 (we put the experience at the end of the tour...) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmaler_Luzin https://www.luzinfaehre.de/
